Sometimes you've gotta work with what you've got. And sometimes, what you've got technically belongs to the Coastal North Carolina Preservation Society. But a slight technicality can't hold me down. So, last week when my beachfront hors d'oeuvres table was looking a bit grim, I did what any resourceful hostess would do - went hunting through the dunes for my centerpiece. A mason jar, sea oats and some wildflowers - not too bad for a last minute arrangement!
